Steady as a Bird
Hello, gentle readers and viewers. I hope this Sunday is treating you well. Thank you for being here.
Things are going well over here. We had a birding/wilderness adventure last weekend, and I’ve spent the week using my sketchbook to relive as many moments as possible. You will undoubtedly see them; it’s just a matter of when.
Austin Kleon’s newsletter came out the other day. He posted a quote from a letter by Vincent Van Gough to his brother: “I’m concerned with the world only in that I have a certain obligation and duty, as it were—because I’ve walked the earth for 30 years—to leave a certain souvenir in the form of drawings or paintings in gratitude.”
I’m so grateful for some moments, and I do my best to preserve them forever in the best way I know how. I’m glad to see I’m in good company.
Take care of yourselves, seek inspiration, draw slowly, have fun, and stay gentle.
Here are a few of my favorites from the past week or so.
